Week 9: Frankfurt, Germany Isn’t it funny when you realize what your calling in life is? Some people search years to find that one thing that satisfies their passionate heart, while others seem to find that one niche that fulfills them completely. For me that is performing, whether I’m dancing with Ailey, at a voice lesson, or in acting class.

Hello United Kingdom! My name is Glenn Allen Sims, and I am dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater currently in my 20th year. It is a pleasure to be back in London! It has been 6 years since we last performed in the U.K. Unlike past visits when the weather was grey, chilly, and rainy; perfect weather for autumn. This time, the sun is shining and the weather is WARM! We are at the end week two of our sold out performances at Sadler’s Wells, and the audiences have been phenomenal! Each night that the curtain rises, the audience reacts as if they are at a rock concert, screaming, clapping, and whooping. I must say, this is impressive to hear at the top of a performance.
